WORSHIP, GODS & GODDESSES

 

Following the Abolition of the gods and goddesses by Lord Jah Ade Adelaja I (circa 2021) the practice of worship was abolished, although certain acts of 'reverence' and 'adoration' continue in respect of not just gods and goddesses, but of other certain individuals.  These are regarded as 'cultural practices' and how this situation will be determined, is still unclear.  Therefore the situation at present is that, no Incarnate Sentient Being may be worshiped to as a 'gOD' or 'gODDESS.'  However the appellation God / Goddess, still subsists in a most curious way.  Lord Jah Ade Adelaja I has permitted gods and goddesses to be referred to as 'former gods' (abbreviated as Fr. gods) and 'former goddesses' (abbreviated as Fr. goddesses) in addition to their titles as Lord and Lady.  His justification for such, is that the main objection and abuse which his reform sought to remove was the 'worship' of gods and goddesses.  He however, recognises that the titular term gods and goddess is of powerful significance and thus either as a transitory measure, can be referred to in some distinct way or may even be retained in some formal way.  In order to put this idea into practice, he shall be permitting the use of the above ('former gods' and 'former goddesses.')

1.  Apply to the Lord Jah Ade Adelaja I Royal Court & People's Palace Precinct - SOTI Cosmos / Universe.
