The following is recorded in a 'Teacher-Student Dialogue,' concerning the Teacher and the Student Lemonius ('The Laughing Student'.)

"Why do you laugh so much?
For Laughter is a difficult state to maintain.

Is it not preferable
To maintain -
That
'HAPPY STATE'
Often termed the
'HAPPY DISPOSITION'
Wherein
'HAPPINESS'
Is
'CONTAINED'?
'CONCEALED'?
And thus
'JOY'
'RESTRAINED'
& kept in check
To assist that goal,
You set to -
'MAINTAIN' -
That state of -
'EQUIPOISE'?"
