THE 'EQUI-POINT'

The ‘Equi-Point’ in SOTI is that ‘point,’ which we ‘seek.’  Abstractly it can be regarded as the convergence of all ‘Equi-Points’ – this would represent the ‘Absolute Equi-Point’ and thus vies with other ‘Absolutes’ in the “Battle of The Absolutes” – a concept referred to in SOTI Teachings (see Oladipo Adegboyega Adelaja – SOTI Collected Works.)

‘Equipoise’ – morally and ethically this term can be summed up as follows – “The seeking of ‘Equipoise can be summed up as being the ‘Good’ which you ‘seek’ and the ‘Evil’ that you leave.”

COMMENTARY

- Oladipo Adelaja -

There is a legend in SOTI that ‘The Cosmos’ ‘deceives’ both the ‘Good’ and the ‘Evil’ to meet in a battle to decide the future of ‘The Cosmos.’  ‘The Cosmos’ laughs, because it knows that through this ‘deceit’ both the ‘Good’ and the ‘Evil’ will ‘willingly’ meet and thus it can use this ‘energetic battle’ to determine its future.  Thus it can be understood that both ‘Good’ and ‘Evil’ are essential aspects of ‘The One.’

In SOTI Cosmos Universe, there is a ‘cosmological understanding’ which determines that – “there exists a ‘bridge’ or ‘highway’ formed as an arch, from which the ‘Good’ depart from Heaven to meet the ‘Demons’ and ‘Devils’ which have departed from Hell.”

The purpose of which is to battle for the suzerainty of the cosmic world – The Cosmos.

The ‘Good’ are armed with ‘all Good’ and the ‘Bad’ – the ‘Wicked’ – the ‘Demons’ and the ‘Devils’ armed with ‘all Evil.’  Both sides depart designed to meet at a cosmic Armageddon.  The battle remains however, unresolved.

And so – SOTI teaches that each incarnate sentient being must seek its path to enjoin in this battle for on the part of the ‘Good’ – it is not enough to just do ‘good’ (whatever that means,) but that a part of this work shall be to remove what it regards as ‘Evil.’

For the part of the ‘Bad’ for its part it must tend towards the ‘Good’ – this way extremities of both ends are avoided – for it has to be admitted that the extremities of ‘Good,’ which we will now refer to as ‘so called Good’ - can be of ‘Evil’ (which we will now style – ‘so called Evil.’)  For fundamentalism is the bane of the ‘Good’ just as greed and avarice is the bane of the ‘wicked.’  And thus we learn within SOTI that – “Unconditional Love, does not mean – Unconditional Stupidity” – and that the ‘wicked’ soldier too – can save a Life.

COMMENTARY on the COMMENTARY

- Candice Adelaja -

The Commentary above refers to the domains located in the higher and lower realms – ‘Heaven’ and ‘Hell’ – referring to the attributes that are usually associated with such realms – ‘Good’ – ‘Evil’ / ‘Bad’ / ‘Wicked’ etc.  Using the ‘Principle of Correspondence,’ when these attributes trickle down / up into the 3rd dimensional plane, which is where we are located – we can observe their manifestation in everyday life.  Which person can call themselves absolutely ‘Good’ – or ‘Evil’ for that matter?  Yet in the 3rd dimensional realm – ideas such as ‘Good’ and ‘Evil’ are often polarised and presented in absolute terms, it is rare indeed, for an individual to observe ‘dual aspects’ such as those mentioned above, in a way as the Author has presented in his Commentary.  The Author has attempted to express a balanced / unbiased - view / perspective of a dualism (‘Good’ and ‘Evil.’)

The Commentary is expressing the challenge of duality / polarity, which properly understood expresses the reality that in ‘Existence’  – ‘things are not what they seem.’

We exist in the 3rd dimension and observe things from this dimension / plane - ‘dual aspects’ are on a continual quest towards the opposing end of its polarity.  The Author refers to this conquest by way of the quote - “there exists a ‘bridge’ or ‘highway’ formed as an arch, from which the ‘Good’ depart from heaven to meet the ‘Demons’ and ‘Devils’ which have departed from hell.”

The meeting point for these ‘dual aspects’ – in this case, ‘Good’ and ‘Evil’ - is the point in the middle, which the Author describes as the ‘Equi-point.’  At this ‘point’ – this ‘meeting place’ – various ‘activities’ can take place.  These are undisclosed, but clearly cosmic in nature.  This ‘point’ represents the ‘struggle’ / ‘battle’ / ‘conflict’ between these two opposing forces.

A way to picture the dynamics of the convergence of such opposing forces, is to visualise a line as demonstrated below.

Diagram 1: sourced - The Science Of Abstract Consciousness

‘Good’

     ‘Equi-Point’

‘Evil’

As the ‘dual aspects’ approach the middle (equi-point,) each aspect - “toes the line” (or in this case, the ‘point,’) thus the ‘Good’ tends towards the ‘Evil’ – and the ‘Evil’ tends towards the ‘Good.’  The Commentary above states – “…it is not enough to just do ‘good’ (whatever that means,) but that a part of this work shall be to remove what it regards as ‘Evil.’”

Thus, it is not enough to be polarised in the disposition of ‘Good,’ as according to SOTI, part of your role as a representative of the ‘Good’ – is to approach, confront ‘Evil’ – which may be understood through an earlier paragraph, which discusses the ‘meeting point’ / ‘Equi-Point’ of the two energies.  The same applies therefore to the representatives of ‘Evil.’

It has often been said – “too much of one thing, is never a good thing” – which implies ‘balance’ and ‘moderation’ – the Author is highlighting how ‘extremities’ can be avoided.  He thus forms part of his conclusion, by referring to both ‘Good’ and ‘Evil’ as – ‘so called Good’ and ‘so called Evil,’ which essentially has taken the sting of polarisation out of the tail.

The final sentence offers a quote from SOTI which may aid the reader to understand further what is meant by the explanation given - “Unconditional Love, does not mean – Unconditional Stupidity” – it can also be used as a tool to navigate the line of ‘Good’ and ‘Evil.’

The final remark - “…the ‘wicked’ soldier too – can save a Life” – bluntly reflects the fluidity and realism - in dualism, which is often overlooked, by we inhabitants of the physical, solid, fixed - realm - of the 3rddimensional plane.
