COMMENTARY

It is reputed among the Elders of SOTI, that its Founder when peering beyond transcendence, saw the ‘brain of Consciousness’ or its synapses. 

​

The teachings, method and practice of this Meditation, are contained in SOTI Collected Works by Oladipo Adegboyega Adelaja.  

The teachings are reserved for advanced SOTI students. This particular aphorism represents / recreates part of the proceeding of Master / Mistress and Student graduation ceremony.  These are collectively known as ‘Graduation Ceremony Aphorisms & Reflections’ - which is required reading by all advanced students, prior to ‘examination’ and ‘graduation.’

This particular student when examined, identifies what might lie beyond ‘Absolute Consciousness.’  ‘Absolute Consciousness’ is regarded in SOTI, as the ‘ultimate unitary thing or Primal Source.’  The answer given above in ‘graduation ceremony’ given by the examined student reflects what was seen by its original founder himself.

However, what is interesting in this particular examination / graduation ceremony, is that there was no initial Meditation practice.  

This event has given rise within SOTI teaching and practice, a form of ‘Zen Meditation’ practice within SOTI practice & understanding.

Note: it is called a form of ‘Zen Meditation’ practice, since it neither seeks to emulate or copy ‘Zen doctrine, teaching and practice’ - but acknowledges that form - namely that the occurrence of ‘instantaneous revelation’ and instant ‘super abundant awareness’ is possible.   Since - “who or what can determine what is - ‘proper,’ ‘correct’ - ‘possible’ - who or what other than ‘The Cosmos?’” (SOTI Collected Works - The Nature Of The Cosmos.)
